Kilian Jornet Burgada set a new record by climbing and descending the Matterhorn in just less than three hours (2:52:02). The previous speed record for the Matterhorn was 3:14:44 while the average climber takes 9-12 hours to make the climb and descent. The video clip shows his descent and if you're scared of heights you might want to give it a pass. It is stomach churning to watch him sprint down slopes that will kill him if he falls.
